Part way along my trip through Asia I spent 3 days in Singapore. The people zoo! Its a huge concrete playground but very interesting at the same time. I took a walk one day with a friend who I met at My hostel, to Marina Bay, and we took these photos.
Marina Bay
First stop, China Town ! Not like China towns in other Asian cities, but interesting all the same. It’s very organised and not so crazy as China town in Penang, or Kuala Lumpur.
So many Chinese lanterns
First stop, of course, in the food court where you can get just about any type of Chinese food for 3-4, Singapore dollars.
A Chinese temple of some sort
Crazy pictures on the roof, great for photographs!
The view from the 57th floor of the Pinnacle @ Duxton apartment building that you can go up for $5
This photo reminds me of my 2 weeks in New York.
The Double Helix Bridge. What an interesting structure!
This strange-looking structure is actually a museum.
We found a free, open air concert at this stage on the waterfront in Marina Bay. The music was amazing, complemented by an insane drummer
The Marina Bay Light Show is one of the most spectacular things I’ve seen in the world. Lasers and a projection of the story of life onto a screen of spray and mist in front of the shopping centre. We watched it from the shopping centre at 8.30, then again from the other side of the bay at 9.30 so we could see the laser display from a distance. Just stunning! I recommend that anyone visiting Singapore should witness this show.
Each day there’s a light show on the waterfront. They project a movie with music onto a screen of spray in front of the shopping centre.
And from the top of the Marina Sands Building there is an incredible Laser show to compliment the lights show and music
The lights show at The Super Trees

The light shows are amazing
The light shows were certainly one of the cooler things that ive seen in my travels. And they have 3 in the city, I saw one of them 5 times! And the one in the Super Trees was cool too! Have you seen them?
