2016 has been an interesting year for me!  I put this video together to show most of the highlights of my year and most of the people and awesome places I went along the way.  Apologies if I missed any people or places; I just threw this together and it takes a long time to sort many thousands of photos and hundreds of videos.

Timeline of my year…

• January 1:     I Started the year with Graceie, at home in New Zealand.
• Mid January:  Spent possum hunting with Graceie at Big Bay, New Zealand.
• February 1:  We left my home at Gorge River and travelled around the South Island a bit.  Went to Welcome Flat hot pools and Milford Sound with Chloe, Oscar and Ricky
• February 10:  Leave for Antarctica for a one month voyage working as an expedition guide/zodiac driver.  
• March 2:     At the bottom of the world at McMurdo Station and Scott Base.
• March 13:   Fly from New Zealand to Bali and travel Off The Beaten Track in Indonesia for one month.
• April 13:      Fly to Philippines and travel there for one month.  Graceie and I part ways.
• May 13:         Fly to Malaysia, travel in Malaysia and Singapore for a couple of weeks.
• June-July:     Travel in Thailand and Laos with Hafiz, Giorgio and Graceie.
• August:             Travel in Indonesia with Anya
• August 28:        Fly to Hong Kong and start work as an outdoor instructor.
• September 9:    Enter China and continue work there for September, October and November.
• December 8:    Fly to Shanghai from Hong Kong
• December 14:   Fly to Istanbul via Moscow and travel in Turkey with Anya and her friends for 2 weeks.
• December 30:   Bus from Istanbul to Bulgaria-Sofia and celebrate New Years eastern European style!!

What Is In Store For Me In 2017

As I write this, I am in Serbia headed for Budapest and Poland again.  After that, I am keen to go to some more countries in Europe that I haven’t been to yet.  So I’m going to head to Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.  After that, I would like to go across Russia on the Trans Siberian in the dead of winter………….back to Asia…

That’s my rough plan but hey!  If something better comes along my plans will change!
